A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain. For example, an email sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from acquaintances or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typo or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. The latter is due to the fact that at a certain point you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction means that the spam will not be sent to a 3rd-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You will be able to configure a catch-all mailbox easily if you’ve got a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom-built Hepsia Control Panel is feature-loaded, yet unbelievably simple to use, and it will allow you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a few clicks of the mouse. All the mailboxes that you’ve created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and next to each one of them you will notice a tiny "Catch-all" sign. Clicking it once will activate this feature, clicking it once more will disable it. Since you can have just one such mailbox per domain name, our system will notify you if you already have another one with this feature activated or if you’ve got activated email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

You’ll be able to create a catch-all address with no more than a click in case you have a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company and your emails are handled by our cloud hosting platform. All the email addresses that you create using any domain name hosted in the account will be listed in the Hepsia Control Panel’s Email Manager section. Each of them will have a small "Catch-all" icon next to it, so all it will take to enable the feature will be to click on that icon. In the same way you’ll be able to deactivate the feature, in case you don’t need it any longer. Our system will notify you in case you are attempting to activate a 2nd catch-all address for a particular domain name or in case there is active email forwarding, but it will never change or deactivate any feature automatically or without your consent.
