FTP Accounts in Shared Hosting
You will be able to create as many FTP accounts as you wish with each of the Linux shared hosting that we are offering, because we’ve chosen not to restrict this functionality. Thus, you can manage numerous Internet sites at the same time or provide other persons with access to different folders. Once a certain job has been done and you do not want that person to be able to connect to your web files any longer, you can change the password associated with the FTP account or you can just remove that account with a couple of mouse clicks and stop worrying about anybody connecting to it again. The Hepsia Control Panel, which comes with all shared plans, will allow you to check the full list of the existing FTP accounts displayed alphabetically. It takes just one single click of the mouse to manage different options for any of them – to change the access path or the password, to download an auto-config file, etc.
FTP Accounts in Semi-dedicated Servers
If you host your sites under a semi-dedicated server account, you will be able to create a different FTP account for any of them, since we haven’t set a limit on this feature with any of our packages. You can do this via the FTP section of our easy-to-work-with Hepsia hosting Control Panel where you can also see the full list of all the accounts that you have set up, along with the folder that each one of them can access. If needed, you’ll be able to change the password for a certain account or to modify its access path with a few mouse clicks. You can also remove an account without effort in case you don’t require it anymore – for example, if you have hired a developer who’s finished with the site and you don’t want them to be able to access your files any longer. For convenience’s sake, we’ve shot different instructional videos, that will help you administer your FTP accounts with no effort if you’ve never used a web hosting plan before.
FTP Accounts in VPS Servers
None of the VPS servers that we are offering has a limit on the total number of FTP accounts that you can manage at any moment, so you can create an FTP account for each website hosted on the virtual machine, no matter if it is under a domain or subdomain. What’s more, it doesn’t matter which Control Panel you’ll select when you sign up – cPanel, DirectAdmin or Hepsia, since an FTP server will be set up on your VPS during the installation of any of them. In case you want several users to set up a connection to the same directory with their own login details, for example, it’ll take a couple of mouse clicks to create a different FTP account for each one of them. Deleting an existing account or changing the directory that it can access is just as easy and you won’t come across any impediment, even if you don’t have any past experience in such matters.
