Multiple OS in VPS Servers
In case you pick one of our VPS server plans, you'll have as many as 3 different Operating Systems to select from - CentOS, Debian and Ubuntu. They are all Linux releases and we offer them instead of offering just a single OS, since the applications that you may wish to run on the server could have specific requirements about the software environment. Each of these three has certain pros in terms of the available plans that you can later install, but what's common between them is that they are really secure and reliable and have huge communities that support them. The hosting Control Panel alternatives for the VPS accounts depend on your OS choice, in order to provide you with more flexibility. When you order the virtual server with one OS and you need another one later, our technical support team can easily reinstall the VPS with the new one in a matter of minutes. We also offer the option to maintain the Operating System on your server up-to-date on a weekly basis.
Multiple OS in Dedicated Servers
We offer three Operating Systems with our dedicated server packages - CentOS, Ubuntu and Debian. They are all different Linux distributions and we offer them not only because they are cost-free so they won't increase the price of your new web server, but also because they are really secure and stable. Each one of them is supported by a big community of web developers, so you'll be given the option to choose from thousands of software packages that you could install on your server if the app that you intend to use has certain requirements. The Operating System will also determine what hosting Control Panel you can use as the Control Panels that we offer run on specific OSs only and since we would like to provide you with as much flexibility as possible, we offer a couple of OSs and multiple Control Panels. In case you get a server with a certain Operating System, we will change it upon request in the event that it turns out that you will need alternative one. We can also keep your OS updated on a weekly basis as a part of our useful Managed Services upgrade.
