There are two services you need for a functioning website - a domain and a hosting plan for it. Each time you type the domain address in your web browser, you see the content that is uploaded inside the hosting account, but if that Internet domain isn't linked to such an account or to an e-mail service, it's parked. In other words, the domain address is registered and you are its owner, but it lacks content of its own. As a substitute, it can open either a pre-made “Under Construction / For Sale” Internet page from the registrar company, or it may be forwarded to any other URL of your choice. The main advantage of parking a domain is that you can keep it and ensure that nobody else will take it. At the same time, it won't take a slot for a hosted Internet domain within your account. In addition, you can park domain names if you have a .com, for instance, and you register domain names with other extensions like .net, .org or country-code ones to direct them to the main website in order to protect a brand name.

Parked Domains in Shared Hosting

When you have a Linux shared hosting from our company, you will be able to park any of your domains easily. The feature is available for the domain addresses registered with our company, but not for the ones which are only hosted here and pointed from some other company, since a domain can be parked only through its registrar. Our Domain Manager instrument will allow you to choose from a variety of templates and you're going to be able to include custom text to any one of them. Redirecting a domain to an alternative URL is as easy as simply typing the Internet address and saving it. If you want to host any of your parked domain names, it takes only a mouse click to do it and our system will do the rest - changing the name servers, setting up a domain folder in your account, creating the required DNS records, etc. For simpler control, you are going to be able to filter the domain names registered within the account by their status - parked or hosted.

Parked Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers

With each and every semi-dedicated server that we offer you are going to have the ability to park as many domains that are registered with our company as you would like. Since only the registrar company can provide a parking feature, you can't park domain names that are only hosted on our leading-edge cloud hosting platform. From the Domain Manager section of your Hepsia hosting Control Panel you can park and un-park domains with only a few mouse clicks and filter all domains that you have got by their status, for better control. We provide a number of different templates which you can use and if you would like, you could also add some custom text to any of them. If you want to un-park a domain and host it in your account, you will not have to do anything manually - our system will create a domain folder in the File Manager section and will set up all of the necessary DNS records so that the domain works properly and starts opening the content that you upload for it on our servers.
